Alternate Routes

From the South:

Option # 1:
Sideroad 10: Exit Hwy 400 at County Road 88 and go east to Sideroad 10. Turn left onto Sideroad 10 and follow into Barrie. Inside Barrie Sideroad 10 is called Huronia Road.

Option # 2:
County Road 56 (Running from Highway 89 to County Road 90, west of Hwy 27): Exit Hwy 400 at Hwy 89 and go west. Follow Hwy 89 to County Road 56 and turn right. Follow County Road 56 to County Road 90 and turn right. Follow County Road 90 into Barrie where it becomes Dunlop Street.

Option # 3:
County Road 10 (Running from 9 to County Road 90, west of County Road 56): From Hwy 400 exit at Hwy 9 and go west. Follow to County Road 10 and turn right. Follow County Road 10 to Hwy 89 in Alliston. Turn right on Hwy 89 and follow to County Road 10 North. Turn left and follow to County Road 90. Turn right onto County Road 90 and follow into Barrie where it becomes Dunlop Street.

Option # 4:
Highway 50 & County Road 10: From Steeles Avenue in Brampton take Hwy 50 north. Hwy 50 ends at Hwy 89. Turn right onto Hwy 89 and follow through Alliston to County Road 10. Turn left and follow to County Road 90. Turn right onto County Road 90 and follow into Barrie where it becomes Dunlop Street.

Option # 5:
County Road 18 (Airport Road): Follow Airport Road north from Toronto. Follow either Hwy 9 as shown below, or Hwy 89 towards Barrie as shown above.

Option # 6:
Hwy 10 (From Brampton): Take Hwy 10 (called Main St. in Brampton, or Hurontario Street in Mississauga) north. Follow Hwy 10 through Orangeville to Violet Hill. Turn right onto Hwy 89 at Violet Hill and follow County Road 18 (Airport Road), County Road 10, County Road 56, Hwy 27, Hwy 400 or Yonge Street to Barrie as shown above.

From the West:

Option # 1:
Hwy 26: (from Owen Sound, Collingwood, Grey & Bruce County) Follow Hwy 26 east towards Barrie. At County Road 27 turn right and go south into Barrie. County Road 27 is Bayfield Street in Barrie.

Option # 2:
County Road 90: From Base Borden follow County Road 90 east into Barrie. County Road 90 becomes Dunlop Street in Barrie.

Option # 3:
Hwy 89: (from Huron, Grey and northern Wellington Counties) Hwy 89 starts in Harriston. Follow Hwy 89 east through Shelburne. From here follow either Airport Road (County Road 18) or County Road 10, County Road 56, Hwy 27, Hwy 400 or Yonge Street to Barrie as shown above.

Option # 4:
Hwy 9: (from Bruce, Grey, Wellington & Dufferin Counties) Follow Hwy 9 east going through Orangeville. From there you may continue on Hwy 9 to Hwy 10, County Road 18 (Airport Road), Hwy 50, County Road 10, Hwy 27, Hwy 400 or Yonge Street as listed above.

Option # 5:
Hwy 6: (from Kitchener, Guelph, Waterloo, Brampton) Follow Hwy 7 east to Hwy 6 heading north. Follow to either Hwy 9 or Hwy 89 and follow the above directions, continuing east.

From the East:

Option # 1:
Hwy 7: (From Peterborough, through Markham and Richmond Hill) Follow Hwy 7 west until you reach Yonge Street, Hwy 400, Hwy 27 or Hwy 50 and follow directions above to reach Barrie.

Option # 2:
Hwy 12: Follow Hwy 12 north to Orillia. Travel through Orillia until you reach Hwy 11. Take Hwy 11 South to Barrie. Hwy 11 merges with Hwy 400 just north of Barrie. There are 5 exits off Hwy 400 for Barrie between Duckworth Street and Mapleview Drive.

From the North:

Option # 1:
Hwy 11: (from North Bay, Huntsville, and Gravenhurst) Take Hwy 11 South towards Barrie. Hwy 11 merges with Hwy 400 just north of Barrie. There are 5 exits off Hwy 400 for Barrie between Duckworth Street and Mapleview Drive.

Option # 2:
Hwy 400: (also called Hwy 69) From Sudbury and Parry Sound. Follow Hwy 400/69 South towards Barrie. There are 5 exits in Barrie off Hwy 400 for Barrie between Duckworth Street and Mapleview Drive.
