Are you heading to Wayhome or Boots & Hearts this year and in need of camping gear? Good news! On your way to the festival don’t forget to stop in to Barrie, a large city center right next to the event grounds!

Stop in for a bite to eat—fill up with some good food before you head to the party.

Barrie’s downtown core has many unique restaurants offering a range of both casual and fine dining options. Enjoy the weather out on one of the downtown patios, take in the beautiful view of Lake Simcoe, and enjoy a nice meal with your friends before you head out to set up your campsite. Depending on your timing, you might be able to catch some live music at one of these restaurants.

Barrie also has many specialty take-out options. In Barrie’s south end, Cravings Fine Food Market & Catering and LN to Go by Liberty North focus on creating delicious take-home meals for their clientele. Make your meals at the music festival memorable by purchasing some specialty ready-to-go food in Barrie.

Barrie is also home to six beer stores and four LCBO’s. As you pass through Barrie, stock up for the weekend before Wayhome or Boots & Hearts.

Find all of the best camping gear to make your music festival weekend a comfortable one by shopping in Barrie. Make your way to Sojourn, located at 31 Commerce Park Drive in the south end of Barrie, for camping equipment and other apparel. Sojourn has been known as central Ontario’s leading “Outdoor, Travel & Adventure” store for well over 20 years.

Mountain Equipment Co-op (or MEC) is also stocked with all kinds of summer gear plus all of the right tools to prep for your camp experience, including safety gear, sunscreen, bug repellent, first aid protection, tents, tarps, sleeping bags and much more. Conveniently located on 61 Bryne Drive just off the Essa Road exit from Highway 400, you’ll want to stop at MEC to get the things you need to make your camping experience the best it can be!

If you’re looking for a new outfit or a comfortable pair of shoes, Barrie’s downtown is home to several independently owned shops for your festival needs. Dress in style for Wayhome this year by shopping in one of Barrie’s many fashion outlets.

Alternatively, Bayfield Street is lined with malls, which offer brand name fashions, and chain stores. While you’re on Bayfield Street, you should also stop by the largest LCBO in Central Ontario!

Make Barrie part of your music festival weekend experience and take in all that it has to offer. We can’t wait for you to get here!
