Boating

Barrie is your perfect destination for recreational boating and fishing! Our location on Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe, is ideal. Lake Simcoe is part of the Trent Severn Waterway: a 387-kilometre water system connecting the east end of Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay, Lake Huron. Barrie offers transient docking, as well as two public boat launches. Aside from the City of Barrie Marina, there are also many private marinas in the area. Boaters can venture on-land to enjoy Barrie's vibrant downtown, which is full of restaurants, shopping, and the services boaters would need- all within walking distance.
