With so many exciting events and attractions, a visit to Barrie is guaranteed fun for kids of all ages! Below are some ideas to help you plan a fun-filled day in Barrie.

Summer Adventure
Fuel up for a day of excitement with a hearty breakfast at your accommodation.
Head out the door with your clubs in tow and spend the morning on the greens of one of our fantastic golf courses. Or set out to explore nature at its best, on a hike or bike-ride on one of our many area trails.
Make your way back into the city for a bite to eat. Try a restaurant with a waterfront view or patio. Then watch the sun go down on a fun-filled day with a hot air balloon ride!

Waterfront
Get an early start to the day, and try fishing on Little Lake or Lake Simcoe.
Relax and swim at one of our beaches, or take stroll around the bay on our paved trails, stopping by for a Barrie souvenir at Tourism Barrie.
Grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants within walking distance, or explore Downtown Barrie. Finish the day taking a beautiful sunset cruise around Kempenfelt Bay.

Arts, Culture, History
Greet the day with a historical walking tour. A guide book can be picked up at Tourism Barrie. Finish in Downtown Barrie for a tour and snack at the MacLaren Art Centre.
Connect with our local heritage and spend the afternoon at the Simcoe County Museum.
After dinner at one of our fine restaurants, attend an evening theatre or musical performance to end your day on a high note.

Family Fun
Head out with the family for a day of activity starting at Sunnidale Park with play equipment, trails and a beautiful arboretum. Spend the rest of the morning at the Elmvale Jungle Zoo and get up close to our furry friends. After lunch at one of our family-friendly restaurants, head to the waterfront for some fun at the beach or to take part in one of our waterfront festivals. If you still have energy to burn, head to an indoor or outdoor mini-putt facility. For a whole day of fun, travel to Rounds Ranch and enjoy a western experience that will keep you entertained for hours.
