Skateboard Park

Barrie is home to over 300 hectares of park space just waiting for your next picnic, game of Frisbee or tennis, or leisurely walk. Take Rover to the off-leash dog area in Sunnidale Park, or pack a picnic lunch and spend the day at one of the parks lining Barrie's waterfront.
The City of Barrie offers various recreation programs throughout the year.

Allandale Station Park ~ 11 acres
Lakeshore Dr. between Tiffin St & Minet's Point Rd.
Description: Features include beautiful waterfront setting, bike/walk path, and the Southshore Community Centre, which is available for rent for various special events and hosts Barrie’s year round information centre.

Ardagh Bluffs
South of Ardagh Rd. & North of Harvie Rd.
Description: woodlot and great trails

Barrie Arboretum (Sunnidale Park)
Description: Located in the northwest corner of Sunnidale Park. Includes a living catalogue of trees shrubs, flowers etc. Highlights include a lilac dell, evergreen bed, butterfly bush and rose gardens.

Barrie Community Sports Complex ~ 118 acres
Description: Located in Midhurst, off of Hwy 26.
Directions: exit Hwy 400 at Bayfield St., travel north on Bayfield St. to Hwy 26, turn west on Hwy 26, follow to Nursery Rd, turn north on Nursery Rd, the park is on the left. Free parking available for events. Features 8 Slopitch combo fields, 2 Baseball diamonds, 3 Soccer pitches, and 3 Rugby/Football/Soccer combo fields. Enjoy a Barrie Baycats baseball game at Barrie Metals Stadium located at the Sports Complex.

Bayview Park ~ 1.23 acres
South side of Dunlop St. E. between Mulcaster St. and Poyntz St.
Description: Features include a picnic shelter and playground equipment.

Bayview & Little Park ~ 5.4 acres
Southwest corner of Bayview Dr. & Little Ave. (at Allandale Recreation Centre)
Description: Features the Allandale Recreation Centre which includes 2 ice rinks, 2 swimming pools, fitness centre and seniors centre.

Centennial Park ~ 12.1 acres
Lakeshore Dr. between Bayfield St. and Tiffin St.
Description: Features include walk/bike path, volleyball courts, mini putt, playground, beach, concession stands, picnic tables & pavilion, washrooms, parking etc.

East Bayfield Community Park ~ 23.6 acres
Hanmer St E., east of Bayfield St.
Description: Features include the Barrie Sports Dome, parking lot and East Bayfield Community Centre.

The Gables ~ 42.3 acres
Northeast of Bay Lane & Tollendal Mill Rd.
Description: Features include woodlot trails, beach, picnic shelter and washrooms.

Heritage Park ~ 4.4 acres
South side of Lakeshore Dr., between Bayfield St. and Mulcaster St.
Description: Features include waterfront setting, gazebo, water play area, walkway/paths, change rooms, washrooms, duck pond, gardens etc.

Minet's Point Park ~ 3 acres
North of Tollendal Mill Rd., east of Minet's Point Rd., on White Oaks Rd.
Description: Features include playground equipment, beach, washrooms, change rooms and parking.

Queens Park ~ 10.3 acres
Surrounded by Ross St., Toronto St., Park St., & Parkside St.
Description: Features include skateboarding, playground, ball diamond, tennis courts (lit), and washrooms.

Radenhurst Park ~ 1.48 acres
West side of Buchanan Street or the east side of Radenhurst Crescent east of Johnson Street.
Description: Features include playground equipment.

Redpath Park ~ 1.48 acres
On the southeast corner of Redpath Road and Carlton Road, east of Bayfield, north of Ferris Lane.
Description: features include playground equipment and tennis courts (lit).

Riverwood Park ~ 7.41 acres
Kozlov St. between Heather St. & Cundles Rd. (behind apartment buildings)
Description: Features include playground equipment, ball diamond and tennis courts (lit).

St. Vincent Park ~ 2.47 acres
South of St. Vincent St. between Blake St. & Kempenfelt Dr.
Description: Features include playground equipment, picnic shelter and washrooms.

Shear Park ~ 8 acres
East side of Innisfil St., between Holgate St. & Baldwin Lane
Description: Features include playground equipment, major ball diamond, tennis courts (lit) and parking.

Tyndale Park ~ 10 acres
East of Cox Mill Rd., north of Tollendal Mill Rd. on the lake side of Tyndale Rd.
Description: Features include playground equipment, beach (unsupervised) and parking.
