BEST SELLERS FILM POSTER

The fall festival will open on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 7:30pm to 10:30pm at the Barrie Sunset Drive-In with the film BEST SELLERS by Lina Roessler. This charming literary comedy featuring British screen legend Sir Michael Caine as well as Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza follows a cranky, retired author who reluctantly embarks on a final book tour to help out a young publisher.

Other feature films on the BFF drive-in schedule will include DREAM HORSE featuring actors Toni Colette and Damian Lewis, the SHORT FILM SHOWCASE & AWARDS and the award-winning SUMMER OF SOUL, a film by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson whom you might know from the musical group The Roots featured on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Tickets will be available through Sunset Barrie and will be sold by car.

SEPT. 30TH – IN-PERSON THEATRE SCREENING & POST-SCREENING GATHERING

BEANS FILM POSTER

On September 30th the BFF24 will be hosting an in-person theatre film screening at the Galaxy Cinemas located on Commerce Park Drive! This will be their first in-person theatre screening since their Screen One film in early March 2020.

For this long-awaited return to the theatre, the festival is honoured to share Tracey Deer’s award-winning debut BEANS. The film is a compelling coming-of-age story set against the real-life Oka Crisis of 1990. To date, the touching drama film has won 12 awards and accumulated 8 nominations.

Following the film, be sure to join the BFF24 outdoors under the heat lamps at Kenzington Burger Bar’s patio on Bryne Drive, for an evening of music provided by DJ Casey George and musician Mark Hathaway, delicious food and great conversation. Including a signature cocktail courtesy of Kirkwood Properties! Get back to sharing the love of film, food, and music with everyone. You won’t want to miss it!

Spots are limited. Purchase your tickets for the screening here! AND for the POST-Screening Gathering, here!
