2. Barrie's Farmers Market

Description: Visit the Barrie's Farmers Market inside the Rotunda at City Hall from November to May. Find unique arts and crafts, delicious seasonal offerings from the garden and the over, as well as a variety of meats and fresh fish.

1. Ice Fishing on Kempenfelt Bay
Cost: Free with licence

Location: Kempenfelt Bay, Barrie
Description: The fishing doesn't stop once the warm weather is gone. In the winter months, the ice-covered Kempenfelt Bay becomes home to a village of ice huts. Come try out ice fishing in Barrie. Always be safe when heading out on the ice; for Lake Simcoe ice conditions click here. From February 16-18, 2019 Canadian Residents can fishing license free!

2. Heritage Walking Tours - Self Guided

1. Winterfest

Location: Heritage Park and Downtown Barrie
Description: Named one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario, Winterfest is a great way to celebrate the winter season with adventures that the whole family will enjoy. The festival features ice carved sculptures, lumberjack shoes, snow slide, ice maze and more.
