“Tunes in the Trees” is a coffee house style concert featuring Rick Groves and Edward St Moritz. Enjoy an evening of live music in the natural beauty of the Tiffin Centre for Conservation. Proceeds go towards maintaining conservation areas in the Nottawasaga Watershed.
Rick Groves started playing music when he was very young, listening to bands and performers such as the Beatles, CCR, The Guess Who, America, Gordon Lightfoot, but mostly artists who are singer/songwriters, etc., many of whom have influenced him in his style. Rick also composes his own songs and has played at many Open Mics and special events throughout Simcoe County and Ontario. Listen to Rick's music: https://www.youtube.com/playlist.
Edward St Moritz creates and performs songs lyrically driven in a post-folk way, fusing elements of celtic sensibility, classical Old World influence, and gritty observation. Working with producer and musician Don Bray, Ed finished his CD of original songs “Small Things Shining Bright” in 2016. He recorded a second album “A Bit of Change”, produced by Ray Dillard in 2019 and release in September 2020. Listen to Edward's music: https://edwardstmoritz.com/music
