The Barrie Country Club is an outstanding value in a private golf club. It has a rich history and is an important part of the golf scene and social fabric of the Barrie area.
The course was designed by Bob Moote, and has gracefully matured over the years. In the early 90's, award winning Canadian golf course architect, Graham Cooke, developed a renovation plan for the course which was completed in 2001.
The Country Club played host to the Ontario Open in 1975 and has hosted many Ontario Golf Association events. The Club has hosted the Ontario PGA a number of times, and the PGA of Ontario Championship will be returning to the BCC in 2019. In September 2014, they hosted their first ever national golf event, hosting players from every corner of Canada, and several from around the world.
Playable from 5378 yards to 6880 yards with five sets of tee blocks, the slope ranges from 139 to 118. The course is renowned for being well conditioned and is a fair and excellent test of golf. As a members' course, it can be played day after day without fear of boredom.
The Barrie Country Club offers a wide variety of memberships, ranging from Full Golf to Social Memberships, Corporate, Learn to Golf and Out of Town Memberships.
