Mountain Biking
Barrie has many great areas and trails for mountain biking. There are a variety of trails with different levels of difficulty for every skill level. Barrie is home to two premier world class mountain biking resorts – Horseshoe Resort and Hardwood Ski and Bike. The resorts have rental bikes and equipment available and marked trails of all skill levels.

Horseshoe Resort

Horseshoe Resort is home to 30 km of Cross Country Trails, 4000 acres of Copeland forest and 800 km of paved road. Bike trails are open 7 days a week throughout the summer months and are great for all levels of riders. Bikes are available for rental onsite. Hardwood Ski & Bike

Hardwood Ski and Bike has over 80 km of beautiful, rolling trails through hardwood and pine forests for mountain biking. In addition to the 34 km of rolling double track trails, there is an additional 50 km of challenging single track trails that intertwine with the ski trail network creating endless possibilities of courses and obstacles. Open 7 days a week from May – October.
