Celebrate Canada Day with a spectacular fireworks display over Kempenfelt Bay. Bring the whole family and enjoy a vibrant evening along Barrie’s beautiful waterfront. The fireworks show begins at 10:00 PM sharp, so plan to arrive early and secure a great view.

Downtown/Waterfront Performances & Activities

In the case of inclement weather, the fireworks show will be held on Wednesday, July 2. Information about cancellations or delays will be posted in the City's Facebook event and on X, and announced by media partners. Every effort will be made to announce any rescheduling by 9pm on Tuesday.

When/Where Details

Dunlop Street, 10am–11pm: Open Air Dunlop (presented by the Downtown BIA) features a variety of activities and live entertainment.

Centennial Park, 12–10pm: Food truck festival with delicious treats and refreshments from a variety of vendors.

Paid family fun zone by Moonwalk Entertainment featuring inflatables, games, fun food and more! Prices range from $4–$25. You can also purchase passes on site: All Day Play + 1 Treat = $20 or VIP All Day Play + 1 Treat + 1 Body Tattoo = $25.

Centennial Park, 1pm/3pm/5pm: Ultimutts Animal Actors Show!

Centennial Park, 2:30pm: Darlin’ Darlin’ Cowgirl Hula Hoops Show

Centennial Park, 3:30pm: Phil Dacosta Magic Show

Centennial Park, 7–9pm: Various Roaming & Musical Buskers

Waterfront, 10pm: Fireworks show visible from multiple vantage points along the waterfront. Heritage Park will be closed to the public for safety during the show.
