Boots and Boards: Wednesday Line Dancing at Sainte-Marie

Description:
Discover history by day and dance the night away at Boots and Boards: Wednesday Line Dancing, a brand-new summer event series at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons. Running Wednesday evenings from August 12 to September 2, 2026, this unique experience invites guests to explore the story of Ontario's first European community during a free guided tour before enjoying an evening of country music, line dancing and fun in the heart of this National Historic Site. What’s included: Set in Sainte-Marie's historic North Court, the four-week series combines beginner-friendly line dancing lessons, outdoor cornhole, refreshments and a relaxed social atmosphere.

Each session is led by fan favourite Boots at the Bay! Whether you're trying line dancing for the first time or you're already a country music fan, the welcoming environment makes it easy to join in, meet friends and enjoy a memorable summer evening. Optional free guided tour: Adding to the experience is an optional free guided tour of Sainte-Marie among the Hurons for all Boots and Boards participants before the dancing begins.

Led by a knowledgeable historical interpreter, the tour offers a glimpse into daily life in 17th-century Wendake, including the gatherings and celebrations that may once have echoed through this very place, helping visitors connect with the site's rich history before the evening's festivities begin. Free line dancing for overnight cabin guests: Guests can make a full evening or overnight getaway of their visit with on-site dining at Restaurant Sainte-Marie and waterfront glamping cabins located just steps from the historic site.

Cabin guests receive complimentary admission to the evening's line dancing event, making Boots and Boards a perfect opportunity to combine history, entertainment, dining and accommodations all in one unforgettable destination.
