To showcase Barrie as a vibrant visitor destination, Tourism Barrie highlights tourism-focused events and experiences.
Only tourism-related events that meet the submission criteria will be listed on Tourism Barrie’s Calendar of Events. For community events within the City of Barrie, please submit here for consideration.
Submitted events are subject to an approval process to help ensure the integrity of the listings. Please allow up to 5 business days for your event to be reviewed and published.
Events may be submitted for consideration if they meet the following criteria:
1. The event is open to the public.
2. The event takes place within the City of Barrie or is hosted by a Tourism Barrie partner.
3. Event details are publicly available on the host’s website or official social media channels.
Events will not be published on the calendar if they:
- are programs, camps, lessons, courses, or similar activities requiring paid enrolment and/or restricted participation
- are limited to silent auctions, raffles, or online-only fundraising or awareness campaigns
- are exhibitions primarily focused on the display of items over an extended period
- are commercial in nature and primarily intended to advertise, promote, or sell regular products or services
- promote, display, or include hate speech or obscene/pornographic/sexual content of any kind
- do not comply with municipal, provincial, or federal legislation
Tourism Barrie staff reserve the right to publish, refuse, or remove any event from the calendar at any time, without notice.
