The Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce is the leading business organization in Barrie, representing 1,250 businesses that employ approximately 11,500 people in the Barrie area. 

Many private, public and non-profit organizations contribute to Barrie's diverse business community, and the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce is proud to represent and support each of them individually. Our mission is To Encourage a Sustainable Business Environment By Supporting Members through Services, Events, Resources, Education and Advocacy ~ “Exceeding their Expectations” and we accomplish this through a number of different initiatives.

We are committed to providing our members with the highest level of service possible, and access to the best resources available, that will benefit and enhance our business community. We provide advocacy for our members by influencing government policy through our memberships in the Ontario and Canadian Chambers of Commerce. These organizations lobby the government at their respective levels and provide a voice for businesses. At the municipal level, issues concerning businesses are addressed by our Governmental Affairs Committee which meets monthly.
