Tourism Barrie is pleased to invite you to attend our 38th Annual General Meeting and Toast to Tourism

Join us on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at the General John Hayter Southshore Centre (205 Lakeshore Drive) for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and recognition!

3:00 p.m. – Networking: Mingle with industry peers over refreshments.

4:00 p.m. – Annual General Meeting: Hear highlights, achievements, and exciting updates from the past year, followed by the election of the Board of Directors.

5:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Toast to Tourism: Raise a glass to the incredible people driving Barrie’s visitor economy, enjoy food and beverages, celebrate Excellence Awards, and connect with friends and colleagues.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from their extensive experience in tourism marketing, spanning impactful brand and partnership campaigns to data-driven strategies that enhance performance and drive results.

Their expertise and insights will provide valuable inspiration as Barrie’s tourism industry continues to grow and evolve.

NICK PEDOTA
Marketing Manager, Destination Ontario

In his role as Marketing Manager at Destination Ontario, Nick Pedota executes brand and partnership marketing campaigns that position Ontario's tourism experiences and destinations to consumers locally and internationally. Prior to joining Destination Ontario in 2006, Nick’s experience in marketing and communications included work at BLOCKBUSTER Canada, E*TRADE Canada and the National Hockey League Players’ Association after beginning his career as a hockey card writer for The Upper Deck Company in San Diego, California.

TYLER MCKENNA
Digital Marketing Lead, Destination Ontario

Tyler McKenna is a Digital Marketing Lead at Destination Ontario, where he transforms complex campaign data into clear, actionable insights. Since joining in 2012, he has progressed from building custom reporting tools in Finance to shaping the organization’s marketing performance data architecture and analytics foundations. Ty specializes in intuitive campaign dashboards that connect creative, media and web performance to drive smarter ad delivery and continuous optimization.
