The City of Barrie offers two Dog Off-Leash Recreation Areas.

Bayview Drive  DOLRA
The Bayview Drive DOLRA offers two separate, secured fenced areas, one (.25 acres) for small dogs up to a maximum weight limit of 30 pounds, and a large pen (1.8 acres) available for all dogs. Dogs are permitted off-leash in the natural area beyond the dog pens, but owners are advised that gaps exist under the fence line as a result of uneven terrain.

Directions:  From Hwy 400, go east on Mapleview Drive to Bayview Drive. Turn left on Bayview Drive and then turn right at the third entrance to the BMC (The North Parking Lot); the entrance is at the back of the parking lot.

Sunnidale Park DOLRA
The Sunnidale Park DOLRA is located in a natural, rolling setting with earthen footpaths and is NOT wheelchair accessible. The DOLRA is double gated with 4' high wire mesh fencing. Parking is available at the Dorian Parker Centre or along Sunnidale Road. The total off-leash area is 7.15 acres.

Directions:
Exit Hwy 400 at Bayfield Street North, turn left onto Coulter Street and follow to back lot of Bayfield Mall. DOLRA access and sign is at the back corner of Coulter Street across from the mall.
